In my journey as a teacher, trainer and coach, I have observed ( as many school managers must have realized) that many of us in the education space tend to relax and don’t go further in learning and growing. In fact a lot of teachers are resistant to growth and fight change like there is no tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜€.

So let me ask you?

Why remain a grade 2 teacher when you can go further?

Why remain an NCE holder when you can struggle through a degree program?

Why join the teaching profession with a non Education degree and not venture into a postgraduate diploma in Education?

Why can you not try the teachers proficiency certification by TRCN?

Do you know about the international PRAXIS TEST for teachers?

Can you use the computer? The projector? Create slides? Even simple audio note๐Ÿคฆ?

Why do you not have a yearly plan for training in areas where you have challenge on the job?

Why be AVERAGE when you can be OUTSTANDING?

๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž

We all must be alert to opportunity for learning and growing through our journey in this teaching career ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ. And that means we look inward and reflect on the learning curve for us in our daily interaction with the children and we also set a specific plan for Trainings.

So what kind of growth can you aspire too?๐Ÿค— The list is endless.

So ask yourself

โœ“How can I be better than yesterday?
โœ“What course can I take to add to my proficiency?
โœ“What book can I read to increase my knowledge base?
โœ“ What book can I write?
โœ“Who do I look up to in this career?
โœ“Who can mentor me?
โœ“Who can I mentor?
โœ“What is new on my CV?
โœ“Can I initiate or accept local, national or even international collaboration?
โœ“ How many tech apps for teaching and learning do I know and can use?
โœ“ Can i take an additional degree?

There is so much to aspire to on this job, believe me. Please don’t be redundant ๐Ÿ™. Don’t stop growing and don’t stop asking yourself ‘What next can I do?’
